I think this is actually my worst impulse as a writer, not any kind of good advice for storycraft, but I’m compulsively nosy about my characters.
I want to know what they had for breakfast, and if they liked it. I want to know what they’re wearing. I want to know all their daily routines, what time they get up, what time they go to bed. I want to go through their shower supplies and their medicine cabinets and see what’s hidden at the back of their underwear drawer. I want to know what weird stuff they jerk off to. I want to download their entire search history for the last month and analyze the raw data.

I love discovering how easy it is to make things.
Epsom salt + baking soda + corn starch + citric acid - less than $50 for all the base components and with the essential oils we have already, we are able to small batch make limitless scents for christmas presents for friends and family
Once we learned how to make soap it really popped off for us.

Your Neighborly Orc Part 3
Gûruk carrying you home stayed in your mind for the rest of the day.
Sore from your fall, you decided a hot bath would be best. You were going to have to face the unfortunate consequences on your clumsiness.
It really had to be when someone could see, didn't it?
Boiling some water in a cauldron over the fire, you prepped everything you would need. Scrambling through your cabinet in the bathroom, you decided on a rosehip oil and some dried lavender to add to your bath for maximum comfort. Your drying cloth was hanging over the edge of the tub, scented with rose soap.
Your aching, bruising muscles were dying to get into a tub of comfort.
The boiling water was dumped into the wooden tub and you watched as the steam overtook your quaint bathroom. The rosehip oil and dried lavdender petals added a calming aroma.
The water burned for a moment as you got in, but it quickly turned into an embracing warmth that allowed you to relieve the tension you had felt.
Quickly, your weariness caught up to you and you dozed off in the comforting embrace of the warm, aromatic water. But, in your half-conscious state, you were startled by sudden noises outside. Your cat trilled outside the bathroom door, the horse gave a short neigh, and the chickens bawked. Concerned by the uproar, you quickly got out of the tub and threw on a shift and a robe.
You walked towards the noise, opening your front door fervently. What you did not expect was to be greeted by Gûruk standing on your porch, hammer in hand.
"Oh!" you exclaimed.
Realizing your fear, Gûruk immediately began to apologize.
"I am so sorry for frightening you. I just -" he paused, a small blush creeping across his lips as he got quieter. "Wanted to help..."
He gestured over to the front of your stables where your repaired wagon sat. No more broken wheel. And sitting on the porch was a stack of firewood that almost reached the ceiling of the awning.
"After your fall," Gûruk cleared his throat harshly before continuing. "I was worried about your provisions. Then I saw some things were broken and I didn't want you to further your injuries if you decided to, you know, fix anything."
The orc was clearly frazzled. It was and a bit unsettling that he had come by presumably and unannounced, but you could tell that there was no ill intent.
"Thank you, Gûruk." you gave him a soft smile.
He glanced at your more compromised state and wet hair, clearly noting you were fresh from a bath.
"Gods, forgive me!" He turned away quickly, moving his gaze towards his feet. "I did not mean to put you in an unladylike position."
You looked down at your attire and shrugged.
"Hardly anything ladylike about me. Besides, it is I who came out upon my own free will. You have not put in any position that I have consented to." Hoping to ease his embarassment, you placed a gentle hand on his very muscular forearm.
The contact sent a chill down your spine, almost as if a spark was sent through your nervous system. Gûruk must have felt the same as he briefly tensed at the contact before relaxing into your hand.
"How can I thank you for your help? You've already done so much for me and I have yet to repay any favors." You asked, genuinely.
"I would ask nothing from you. I did what I did because I wanted to. Besides, you are injured. I highly doubt you came from that fall uninjured." He was worried. You hardly knew each other and yet this man, this orc, who most everyone would assume was a warmongering brute, was worried about you.
"Your words are kind, Gûruk, but please, let me do something in return. Supper, perhaps?" You gestured toward your front door, hinting at his possible staying.
"As are yours, Y/N, but I would not intrude on a lady's home." The rejection stung, but you understood. He had no obligation to accept.
"Again, I am no lady." You took a step closer to him, having to tilt your head up completely to make eye contact with him. His height was tremendous, at least 7 feet. "I am merely a woman. My status is low at best, but a lady I could never be."
"A woman to me is a lady. You would be deserving such a title." He made intense eye contact with you, but retracted quickly when he realized it. "I must be going, Y/N. My tribe will be needing me."
He walked down the steps of the porch, but turned his head back to speak. "I would very much like to sup with you."
You perked up quickly. You smiled at him hopefully. "Really?"
"Not tonight," he huffed. "But, I think I can make an exception tomorrow evening. I can make an excuse for my men to let me go for a few hours. Is there a time that works best for you?"
He was now completely facing you, giving you his full attention.
Shyly, you wondered, "When do orcs normally dine?"
Gûruk chuckled. "Whenever you would like."
He didn't quite smile, but his eyes seem to indicate that he wanted to. He was probably keeping up his strong facade you noticed he often uses. "7 o'clock, then. I'll make stew."
"7 it is then."
"Goodbye, Gûruk."
"Until tomorrow, Y/N."
With dinner plans settled, he walked off back into the woods towards his home. Until tomorrow.

An Evening to Breathe
Fandom: Baldur's Gate 3
Characters: Wyll/Karlach
Rating: T
Summary: A night at the Elfsong lets Wyll and Karlach tend each other with salves and soft words. One to ease their bodies and the other their spirits—especially when Wyll has some lingering uncertainties about his diabolical form.
—
In the golden glow of the Elfsong, with armour polished and weapons resting in their rack, Wyll and Karlach sit on stools beside the washbasin. A cloud of steam swirls through the air as he reaches for the tray of soaps and lotions, as if this were simply another night between them in an unbroken chain of normalcy, cosied against the season’s chill with the Gate just outside the window.
In truth, normalcy is a scene that muddles them both. Their knees bump together with the slightest movement, the humble stool creaking under Karlach’s weight. She laughs at that, her voice fluting higher into uncertainty, and Wyll is no less giggly. As if they’re actors who’ve forgotten their lines on the stage. After long years away from the gate traversing the frontiers of Faerûn and Avernus alike, neither of them can tell soap from shampoo.
Yet there are things he hasn’t forgotten, either.
“Here.” Wyll rises to his feet with a bottle of hair tonic in hand. Resting a knee on the edge of Karlach’s stool, he has the height to see the top of her head and unstops the cork. A find from the Lower City—to his delight, the shop remained despite seven years passing, even if he didn’t recognise the half-orc proprietor behind the counter. Nevertheless, Wyll pours a measure into his palm and smiles as Karlach’s clawed hands come to rest on his hips.
The scent of moringa and rosehip blossoms in the air around them as he scrunches the oil through her damp locks. Ten years of Avernus’s brutal heat have left her hair in a dire state, but with the split ends trimmed and the finest ointments he can procure, time will heal the damage.
And by all the gods, he will ensure she has time.

Bit of an odd ask, but do you know if exos can smell?
Like, if they themselves have a smell or if they can use the sense of smell? I would say yes to both. Because of all the DER stuff, they should be able to use their senses normally. This could vary slightly depending on the Exo, but the function itself should be integrated into them. I think the same applies to them having a smell, though they would probably have a different type of smells.
Elsie mentions that she can smell, though it seems to imply that her sense of smell is very specific:
I can smell a trace of sodium tallowate. But only a trace. She hasn't bathed for a few days.
Here as well:
She throws her arms around you, and you taste the sodium laurate in her shampoo and the long-chain fatty acids in the rosehip oil that lingers from her girlfriend's kiss, and it is all so good.
It's interesting that both of these relate to Ana and Elsie being able to smell specific scents of shampoo and soap.
If someone can remember more about this, feel free to share!

Another day, another hotel. They left in the morning. Heather shook him awake at five o’clock sharp. He packed his things, despite his complaints and fatigue, and he made himself comfortable in the car. The roads blurred together. He tried to look out for signs, the name of a city or even a new state, but found none.
The new hotel was somewhat nicer. They didn’t have a free breakfast, or a minifridge, but they did have a television and a larger fridge, plus a small chandelier in the room—for whatever reason—as well as free soap samples in the bathroom. Rosehip scented. Jackie kept a few in his pocket, then collapsed onto the bed. It was much more comfortable-looking. The fabric was hazel-coloured and smelled like laundry detergent.
Heather’s mood was slightly better, or she had learned to hide her emotions more thoroughly. She did not say anything, only sat on the swivel chair and stared at the painting on the wall. It was a river scene. Probably Venice. Gondolas and lanterns glowing yellow over flat waters, with a stilted house or two in the background. The painting was real, not printed out, and Jackie could even make out the thick, textured strokes of acrylic on its surface.
Jackie sat up. “Do you like this one?”
“Which one?”
“The hotel.”
“It’s fine.” She shifted her gaze to look out the window instead. It wasn’t floor-length, like the last window, but it was long. The sky had darkened somewhat. According to the clock on the wall, it was half-past six.
“Where are we?”
“Bellevue.”
“Oh, I’ve gone to Bellevue before.” This was a lie—Jackie never had the money to travel—but he really needed something to talk about. He didn’t want to look uncultured. Anyway, he knew enough about the city. “They have a botanical garden.”
“I’m not a botanist.”
“Yeah, but we could still go there. Just visit.”
“We could.” But she said nothing else on the matter.
Jackie sighed. “What are we going to do, then?”
“Nothing. Stay here.” She finally turned her head to look at him. “Are you bored?”
“A little.”
“Read a book. Or go to sleep.”
There were two beds. That was an option, but not an appealing one. He didn’t want to sleep. He wasn’t fatigued anymore, just restless.
So he took out his book instead. He stared at the pages. He turned a few pages. He rolled over onto his back, so he could hold up the book and read that way. He rolled back onto his stomach. He sat up. He got off the bed, and read while walking in languid circles. He sat on the sofa. He sat on the floor—also carpet, also dark brown, but thicker. He stood up and leaned against the wall. He sat back down on the bed.
And then he glanced at the clock. Two minutes had passed.
“You get bored very easily,” Heather said.
He put the book down. “I’m not a gentle soul like you.”
“Well, then.” She laced her hands together. “I’m bored too.”
“Can we go to the garden, then?”
“No. It’s too risky.” She unlaced her hands. “What did you do all day, back in the basement? Other than reading and drawing.”
“I went to sleep.”
“Nothing else?”
“Sometimes I would bang my head against the wall?”
“Thanks for the suggestion.” She paused. “I could take up smoking.”
Jackie let out a mock gasp. “Heather!”
“What?” She smiled a little. “I have good lungs.”
“Yeah, but I don’t. I’ll be coughing all the time.”
“Didn’t you buy cigarettes?”
“And look where that got me. What about the T.V.?”
The television stared silently at them both, startled out of its easy background role. It wasn’t a flatscreen, but boxy ones had a wry charm of their own. How odd, that such a sleek hotel should contain such an anachronism. It was big enough to watch from the bed, at least. The remote lay beside it, blocky and black, beside a flyer with all the hotel service numbers.
“That’s a fair point.” She stood up and took the remote. The television flickered on with the push of a button. There were a few channel numbers inlaid yellow-on-blue, plus an option for movies.
“Interesting,” Heather said in a rather flat tone.
“There’s nothing else to do. We might as well, yeah?”
“What? Watch the news?”
Jackie scoffed. “No, silly. Watch a movie. Don’t tell me that biochemists don’t watch movies.”
“I watch movies.” She walked over and shoved the remote into his hands. “Of course I watch movies. I’m not some kind of recluse.”
“Oh, do you? Name one movie.”
“Don’t tell me what to do.” She turned off the lights, then curled up on the bed beside him. “Just hurry up and pick something.”
He clicked through the options. Nothing very interesting. Jackie only liked depressing French films in black-and-white, but hotels didn’t usually offer those. There were a few slasher flicks, though. Perhaps the blood would appeal to Heather.
“How about Saw?” he asked.
“No, it’s unrealistic. You’d die of sepsis before any of the stupid traps.”
“Okay, how about Halloween Three?”
“It’s not even October.”
“Alright, alright, Texas Chainsaw Massacre?”
She made a face at him.
“What? You love chainsaw massacres.”
“Too soon, Jackie.”
“Yeah, you’re right. Sorry. What if we watch Psycho?”
She shrugged. “Fine.”
He didn’t care much for horror movies either, but it was better in comparison to everything else. Psycho was a classic, at least. Or so he had heard. As the introduction played, Jackie was still bored, but he was glad the room wasn’t dead quiet anymore.
His gaze wandered away from the movie, towards Heather beside him. In the light of the television, neon and always awake, she looked so different. He followed the motion of her eyelids, the way her eyelashes dipped as she blinked, the light reflecting against them in a waxy line then scattering apart.
He did not deserve anybody’s affection, least of all Heather’s. He was unable to even let go of what was hurting him, unable to rip the arrow from his chest—still, he would do anything for her. He had gouged his own heart out, and he would do it again. That had to mean something. He wasn’t completely useless, was he?
Heather wasn’t actually watching the movie, and neither was he. She stared at the floor, bit at the edge of her lip, and he stared at her. He was happy, but something caught in his chest and welled up in his throat. He got the strange urge to lean against her. Press up against her shoulder. Put his head there, breathe in and out, let everything else fade away…
Well, this was all foreign to him. He didn't know what to say, how to act. He knew how to behave and talk politely, but there was no skill in that. Nobody had ever wanted him like this before.
Heather was different. She kept him around. She wanted him to stay.
That’s because she kidnapped you, idiot.
Yes. Maybe it was delusion. Maybe it was pareidolia, to see patterns where there were none. But he could pretend. They could smooth that uneven detail over. They could forgive and forget and let live, just leave it be and let it go. And to be wanted was to be wanted; the legality of it was irrelevant.
He wasn’t sure what to do now. He couldn’t ask her outright. No, he had lost enough dignity already. He moved a little closer to her on the bed. Not enough to touch her, but close enough that they could touch if she wanted, hypothetically, possibly, maybe, to touch.
She turned her head towards him. Her hair shifted around her shoulders, spilling over them like woven silk, or like they were carved from marble, in perfect sheafs and sections. That familiar gaze seared into him, still distant and piercing, but not so cold anymore.
Someone was screaming on the television. The sound was distorted, cut through by static. It was some kind of brutal death, he was sure, judging from the sounds. The flash of a blade, the splash of water against linoleum, what could have been a fresh splatter of flesh.
Jackie leaned a little closer—still not close enough to touch, no, of course not. He’d understand if Heather shoved him away and started gagging. He’d be a little offended if she gagged, obviously…
“Stop.”
He flinched back at once. “Sorry, I—”
“I didn’t tell you to move. Stop moving. Stay there.”
Heather was not as shy as he was. She closed the gap between them with fluid ease, wrapped her arms around him and settled in the crook of his neck and shoulder. He wondered if she had more experience than him, to put it that way. She made this look easy.
He tried not to be so tense, tried to follow her lead. Jackie hadn’t been held in so long. It was supposed to be relaxing, but he was too occupied with making sure he didn’t screw it up. It was imperative that he did everything right. Heather already had enough reason to hate him.
“Hm?” She shifted her head. Her hair grazed the back of his neck. “Something wrong?”
“No.”
Someone was monologuing on the television. He couldn’t make out any of the words. Something serious, maybe a confession or a heated confrontation.
“Do you want me to let go?” she murmured. “You can ask me to stop, you know.”
“No, this is okay.” He shut his eyes. “I’m okay.”
“Why is your heart beating so fast?”
“I’m sorry.”
She sighed, a low and weary sound. “Don’t say that.”
“Sorry—“ He cut himself off. “I won’t.”
“That’s not what I meant. Say what you want. I don’t care. Apologize, if you want. But I wish you would…”
She didn’t finish her request. Instead, she placed a hand on his chest, where his heart buzzed so incessantly, betraying him, under the thick, solid black sweater he had borrowed from her.
He didn’t know what she wished for, but he knew he would give it to her. He wasn’t stupid; he was aware she could change her mind. He needed whatever brief protection her love offered, if it meant receiving her affection, her kindness. Such blunt terms would not bother him. All relationships were just company for company, tooth for tooth, an eye for an eye. The price was heavier here, perhaps, but it was still a simple one.
Heather pushed him down onto the bed. Slow, steady, the steady pace she had with the scalpel and saw. His eyes fluttered open. He remembered the metal pressure against his insides, against his stomach, his bones, a wound deeper than his flesh and nerves. He swallowed, and the thought died.
Exchange, give and take. That was all. That was… all. That was it, and he didn’t need to worry. He would be fine with that. He didn’t resist, let her push him down. The fabric was soft under his head.
Heather looked down at him, a watcher from above, indecipherable as always, still studying him.
He hesitated. She was waiting. He was supposed to say something, or do something, but his words faltered to a harsh blank.
She did not wait forever. She laid down beside him, nestled close and held him tight. The fabric shifted underneath them. A shiver clawed up his spine, but he remained perfectly still.
Now he could feel her heart beating as well. Hard, heavy beats, as unyielding as wrought metal. Her breath feathered up against his neck. The tang of orange blossoms filled up his lungs like sand and cement, a cloying citrus smell. The television muttered and murmured, but he barely heard it. His face was feeling flushed. He was painfully aware of each and every part of her, the curve of her shoulders, the precise pressure of her arms. The tension coiled with each exhale and inhale, wound up and up in his chest, grew thick in the back of his throat. But Heather was content to just lie there, so he was too.
The sky outside the window shone white-speckled black. Night had already fallen. It was unbearably cold out on the street, Jackie was certain, but he was inside and safe and warm. Not safe, necessarily, not yet, not quite… but he was inside and warm. Two out of three wasn’t so bad. And he wasn’t alone. It made him want to cry.
Heather closed her eyes. He didn’t see this happen, but he felt the butterfly-wing motion of her eyelashes pushing against his skin, grazing him like the spill of her hair.
It was easy to forget that constant heaviness in his chest. It was easy to just give up, give into it for one night. He was wanted here and it was going to be okay.
Their silence stagnated. The stars flickered, dim against the city’s brash lights. He closed his eyes.

The Usurper — Mortal Lands of Prythian Worldbuilding
*Note: This post may be updated alongside the fic.
The Usurper can be found on Ao3 using this link here.
Mortal Lands of Prythian Worldbuilding
Mortals in Prythian live in environments closer to European medieval standards (however they have better hygiene) due to lack of resources and currency
Most mortals in Prythian live off the land and barter systems
Currency is still used but less so in more sparsely populated areas
The closer a town is to the Wall of Mist, the poorer the living conditions are
Mortal realms on the neighboring continent are better because they actually have established kingdoms there
Kingdoms trade with Prythian mortals via one seaport in the south of the island
After the war, the six mortal queens who established the peace treaty also tried to bring back as many mortals as possible
But the journey is long and expensive, and thousands of people lost their lives at sea due to storms and sea monsters, so the mortals left behind on the island chose to stay despite the poorer conditions
Mortal lands in Prythian do not have indoor plumbing because no access to running water
Mortal lands on continent do have plumbing
Full baths are a two-person job and happen once a week
Bath house and privy are two separate buildings (usually one-room shacks)
Privy is wooden bench with hole built over a large tin bucket
After doing their business, the person brings the bucket outside and uses a shovel to dig a hole out in the woods and dispose of the waste
Bath house has a small fire pit, a tub, bowl full of soap bars, racks for clothes and towels
Large water bucket/pan is heated over the fire and dumped into the tub for the person bathing to use
Usually someone is heating the water and then pouring it in the tub while other person is bathing
One person can do it for themselves but it’s easier with two people if you want hot water
Tub holds 3-4 buckets of water
Full baths are done once a week
These include full body washing and hair washing
Partial baths are done every 1-2 days
These are just using 1 bucket of water to wash important areas (face, armpits, chest, groin, feet)
Archeron family water supply
They have a small well behind their cottage that is mostly used for drinking water and laundry
There is a creek nearby that they use to bathe and collect water from during the summer
They also have rainwater barrels stored outside the bathhouse that are used during spring/summer/fall
Snow is collected during winter and melted down for water
All water must be boiled (for at least one full minute) before use
This is standard in the mortal lands
Plants found during winter – can be grown even in snow

Onion
Garlic
Leek
Rhubarb

How do I keep my skin moisturized in winter naturally?
Winter skin tends to become dry, so maintaining skin moisture requires a multi-faceted approach. Here are some natural methods to help keep your skin hydrated during the winter:
Increase Humidity: Using a humidifier is an effective way to maintain moisture in the air during the winter. Indoor air tends to be dry in winter, and a humidifier helps keep the humidity levels balanced, reducing moisture loss from the skin.
Gentle Cleansing: Avoid using harsh cleansers or soaps. Choose gentle, fragrance-free facial cleansers to prevent over-cleansing, which can strip your skin of moisture.
Moisturizing and Locking in Moisture:
Use moisturizers containing hyaluronic acid or glycerin, which help draw in and lock moisture into the skin.
After applying moisturizer, gently pat your skin to help the product absorb better.
Opt for products with natural oils like rosehip oil or jojoba oil, which provide extra hydration, especially in winter.
Facial Oils: Apply plant-based oils (such as olive oil or sweet almond oil) in the evening to help restore the skin's natural barrier and lock in moisture.
Stay Hydrated: Ensure you drink enough water throughout the day. Hydration is essential not only for your skincare routine but also for maintaining skin moisture from the inside out. While you may not feel as thirsty in winter, it’s important to maintain water intake.
Moisturize Immediately After a Warm Bath or Shower: Avoid using very hot water, as it can strip your skin of moisture. After bathing, quickly apply moisturizer to lock in the moisture.
Eat Foods Rich in Vitamin E: Foods such as nuts, seeds, and leafy greens are rich in Vitamin E, which helps maintain skin hydration and elasticity.
Sheet Mask Treatments: Use masks containing natural ingredients like honey, avocado, or rosewater, which are excellent for moisturizing the skin.
Reduce Exposure to Cold Weather: Cold air can cause moisture loss from the skin, so try to limit prolonged exposure to cold temperatures. When outdoors, protect your face with a scarf.
By following these natural methods, you can effectively maintain skin moisture during the winter and reduce the discomfort caused by dryness.

Revitalize Your Skin: Top Tips for Combatting Dry Dull Skin
Dry dull skin can be a frustrating issue that many people face, especially during colder months or in harsh climates. When your skin loses its natural moisture, it can appear flaky, rough, and lackluster. Fortunately, there are several effective strategies to bring back your skin’s glow and keep it hydrated and healthy. Here’s how you can combat dry dull skin and achieve a radiant complexion.
1. Hydrate from the Inside Out
The foundation of healthy skin is proper hydration. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day ensures your skin cells stay plump and moisturized. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water a day, and incorporate hydrating foods into your diet, such as cucumbers, watermelon, and oranges, which are rich in water content.
2. Choose the Right Moisturizer
Using a high-quality moisturizer is essential for combatting dry skin. Look for products containing hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and ceramides. These ingredients help to lock in moisture and restore the skin’s natural barrier. Apply your moisturizer immediately after cleansing to seal in moisture.
3. Exfoliate Regularly
Exfoliation is key to removing dead skin cells that can make your skin appear dull. Use a gentle exfoliant once or twice a week to slough off dead skin and reveal fresh, glowing skin underneath. Avoid harsh scrubs that can irritate the skin, and instead, opt for exfoliants with alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) for a smoother complexion.
4. Incorporate Hydrating Serums
Serums are lightweight, potent products that can deliver deep hydration to your skin. Look for hydrating serums that contain ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid. These serums not only provide intense moisture but also help brighten the skin and improve its overall texture.
5. Protect Your Skin from the Elements
Environmental factors like cold weather, wind, and sun exposure can strip your skin of its natural moisture, leaving it dry and dull. Always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30, even on cloudy days, to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. In colder months, shield your skin with scarves and hats to prevent windburn and chapping.
6. Use a Humidifier
If you live in a dry climate or experience harsh winter conditions, using a humidifier can be a game-changer for your skin. Humidifiers add moisture to the air, helping to prevent your skin from drying out. Place one in your bedroom to keep your skin hydrated while you sleep.
7. Opt for Gentle Cleansers
Harsh soaps and cleansers can strip your skin of its natural oils, exacerbating dryness and dullness. Choose a gentle, hydrating cleanser that won’t disrupt your skin’s moisture barrier. Cream or oil-based cleansers are excellent choices for maintaining your skin’s hydration levels.
8. Nourish Your Skin with Oils
Facial oils can provide an extra layer of moisture and nourishment to dry skin. Oils like jojoba, argan, and rosehip are rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants that help to replenish your skin’s moisture and restore its natural glow. Apply a few drops of oil after your moisturizer or mix it into your foundation for a dewy finish.
9. Eat a Balanced Diet
Your skin reflects what you eat. Incorporating a diet rich in healthy fats, vitamins, and antioxidants can do wonders for your skin. Foods like avocados, nuts, seeds, and fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help keep your skin supple and hydrated. Additionally, fruits and vegetables high in vitamins C and E can boost your skin’s radiance.
10. Get Adequate Sleep
Sleep is crucial for your skin’s repair and regeneration. Lack of sleep can lead to dull, tired-looking skin. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to give your skin time to rejuvenate. Consider using a silk pillowcase to minimize friction and keep your skin smooth.
Conclusion
Dry dull skin doesn’t have to be a permanent problem. By following these tips and incorporating hydrating, nourishing products into your skincare routine, you can revive your complexion and enjoy soft, glowing skin. Remember, consistency is key, and with regular care, your skin will look and feel healthier in no time.
